NE/SAE is excited to feature several of our Emerging Leaders Program participants in each of our upcoming monthly e-newsletters. Join us in getting to know these new members and up-and-coming association professionals who have made a commitment to advancing their careers in association management through this year-long development program.



 

Joseph Riley is Coordinator of Membership Marketing at the Tree Care Industry Association. Joseph joined TCIA in September of 2018. He graduated from UNH Manchester in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a distinction in digital media.

Over the course of the year, Joseph has been working on improving TCIA's video library, as well as starting a podcast for the organization. Joseph looks forward to new opportunities with these projects in the coming year. As an Emerging Leader, Joseph's hope is to continue is to expand his growth to provide value to both his team and the association. He currently lives in Manchester, NH, with his Australian Shepherd, Willow.

     


 

Whitney McNamara joined Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® in May of 2016 as the Professional Development & Education Manager, and she was promoted to the Education Program Director in July of 2018. Whitney oversees all education programming and professional development and also serves as the member resource for real estate licensing and renewal questions. Before joining CCIAOR, Whitney began her career with Simon Property Group, where she worked at multiple locations. During this time, Whitney gained experience with social media marketing and now shares her knowledge with CCIAOR's members through their free social media classes. 

Outside of work, Whitney is known for her volunteerism in the community. In 2018, she was recognized as a 40 under 40 honoree by Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine and received the Cape Cod Young Professional’s Outstanding Volunteer Award. She was also a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters and is a graduate of Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod. Whitney received her Bachelor of Science from Salem State University.
