Pam started with NE/SAE in the spring of 2007 after a lengthy search process for new management to reinvigorate and stabilize the society so it could meet its goals and objectives and grow into a stronger, more viable organization. Pam started with NE/SAE in the spring of 2007 after a lengthy search process for new management to reinvigorate and stabilize the society so it could meet its goals and objectives and grow into a stronger, more viable organization.

Pam has partnered with NE/SAE’s volunteers to lead countless initiatives over the past 11 years, including our major conferences, and a wide variety of educational programs and networking events. She’s led the development of countless resources for NE/SAE members ranging from compensation studies to webinars, and from member directories to newsletters.

Well-known in the industry, Pam helps make connections among association executives and industry partners. Over the last 11 years, Pam has transformed NE/SAE into a well-oiled machine. Our conference attendance by both association professionals and industry partners continues to rise for all of our major conferences, and there’s a great sense of community among our members, thanks to Pam’s hard work.

We reached out to past board chairs who have worked closely with Pam, and they shared the following remarks about Pam:

Pam is thorough, informed, helpful and easy to work with.
She is a true professional and a credit to our profession.

Pam has carried the torch and lit the way for NESAE to grow and thrive. Under her leadership, the organization continues to thrive, and we have Pam to thank for that. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her over the past 10 years. Now as she passes the torch, she leaves NESAE in a much brighter place.

I have been lucky enough to work with Pam McKenna for 12 years as a colleague and in my roles on the NESAE board. I’ve never met anyone so organized, thoughtful, and steady. I think of her as the river stream flowing beneath the crazy currents we all are grappling with at our associations. She always has a great idea, a solution, or a helpful guiding thought in any situation. She usually doesn’t even have to do research; she just knows so much.

NESAE will not be the same without her but she was also careful to select the right successor, so we can be sure that the future of NESAE is looking bright with Andrew Finn at the helm. Thank you Pam. It’s been a pleasure working with you!
