NAEP Question of the Month: Security Reviews

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

The NAEP Exchange is the place to ask your questions, seek best-practice advice, and search for RFP assistance. The Exchange is a members-only benefit, which means no prying eyes from suppliers; this is a place to ask questions of your higher education procurement colleagues from across the country.

Our question this month comes from Tom Westerhof at Indiana University:

Indiana University wants to identify a company who specializes in security reviews of heterogenous geographically dispersed collections and their facilities. This would be to review the security of all our major collections and those judged most valuable and make appropriate recommendations as to their future security. This would range from security against theft to security concerning fire, water and other damage from acts of nature.

Specifically, IU is looking for one that has experience with high-end, very valuable and prestigious collections. We want to ensure we identify a company that has plenty of expertise. in reviewing collections of this kind.

Please contact Kathi Sipes with recommendations or comments.
