The Supplier Diversity Institute will be a 1 ½ day program that will run concurrently with the Annual Meeting, April 7-9, in Kansas City, MO. By offering this institute concurrently with our 2019 Annual Meeting, we will be able to engage in a unique opportunity to expose both procurement professionals and supplier diversity professionals to education and networking that bridges the gap between departments and highlights the important work that each group provides to the higher education community.
Attendees of the Supplier Diversity Institute will have the opportunity to buy a full conference pass and also attend Annual Meeting sessions. Likewise, attendees of the Annual Meeting will be able to attend a Supplier Diversity Institute session if they choose. Both programs will share the Monday and Tuesday Keynote’s and exhibit hall. The exhibit hall will feature diverse suppliers.
Successful Supplier Diversity programs EDUCATE their senior leaders, internal departments, suppliers, and socioeconomic communities. They EMPOWER their internal and external partners to advocate for procurement from diverse businesses. They find approaches to SUSTAIN their own energy and resilience. They collaborate with Diversity and Sustainability programs to build procedures and systems that maintain support for diverse suppliers. This Institute will explore a variety of sessions which will address educating, empowering, and sustaining. Attendees will walk away with specific approaches and tools to cultivate Supplier Diversity into their campus framework.
