Plan to be in Kansas City, MO, in April of 2019 for the NAEP 2019 Annual Meeting. We are pleased to announce that registration is open for the premier higher education procurement event of the year

This year's theme, "Enterprise Supply Chain Solutions - Make it so!" is all about Procurement: An emerging frontier. These are the sessions of the NAEP Enterprise. Trying to empower procurement professionals to seek out new ideas and opportunities to enhance their department, community and institution. To boldly go where no one has gone before!

The original Star Trek television series was groundbreaking not only for its depiction of futuristic technology, but also for its precedent setting embracement of diversity. The show’s 1966 premiere came at a critical period in the struggle for racial justice and inclusion, being tucked between the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1968. NBC was not without risk by introducing the show’s weekly audience to an array of characters of different races, ages, cultures, sexes, religious beliefs, and ideologies. The crew of the USS Enterprise faced peril on a weekly basis, often barely escaping due to unconventional thinking and a never been tried before plan. That’s the sort of thinking that you get by fully embracing diversity and inclusion, just as Star Trek did over 50 years ago.

At NAEP 2019, we want to demonstrate similar abilities of working together. Whether it is working within the procurement department or collaborating across departments within the institution, we all want to achieve success. Each session within one of the four Star Tracks, 1) Efficiency, 2) Inclusion, 3) Innovation and 4) Procurement will relate in some way to diversity and inclusion. We will also provide multiple opportunities for extended networking so you may share new concepts and discuss methods to implement these best practices after the meeting.

Register today so you may meet and network with over 400 of your procurement colleagues from schools large and small, public and private, across the country.
