This year, we have several open positions on the board as current members roll off at the conclusion of their service terms. Now is your opportunity to help shape the future of higher education procurement.

2nd Vice President on the National Board of Directors
5-year Term
This position rises through the ranks of the NAEP Board of Directors, culminating as NAEP Board President. A few of the major roles and duties include:

  • Plays a vital role in the strategic direction of the association
  • Assists with national membership recruitment and retention campaigns
  • Serves as secretary for the board of directors meetings
  • Serves on various internal and external committees


Districts 2 & 5 Representative to the Board of Directors
3-year Term
These two positions represent the Metro NY/NJ, PA/DE/WV & MD/DC/VA and the Great Plains and TOAL regions respectively at the National Board level. A few of the major duties include:

  • Assisting with membership recruitment and retention activities at the district and national level.
  • Champions the association at campus and public procurement related events.
  • Educate and inform their region about educational purchasing issues.
  • Encourage regional members to get involved and assume leadership roles.

Nominations must be received by October 31, 2018. Upon receipt of nominations the committee will select two candidates per open position to run for election from February 5, 2019 through March 5, 2019.
