The Committee aims to guide public-safety leaders through long-term decision-making and direction setting, and in the development of action plans for NENA as a whole moving into the future. The Committee will provide education and outreach to NENA members to initiate discussion and prepare industry leaders for the future of 9-1-1. NG9-1-1 subject matter experts (SME), private sector professionals, and PSAP operations personnel are all invited to contribute, as well as anyone deeply familiar with how 9-1-1 works and how technology, economic, and political trends and events may affect us in the future.

One-hour calls will be held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 12PM Eastern beginning April 27th.

NENA seeks volunteers with an interest in being a Working Group Co-Chair for the upcoming RFP Working Group. The applicant should possess administrative, facilitatory, and/or management skills related to meeting facilitation, preparation of agendas and notes, document creation and management, and overall working group discussion. Training will be provided.

NENA prefers that a working group have, at a minimum, three Co-Chairs to support the various duties of work group management and the document development process. More information on the Roles and Responsibilities of Working Group Chairs can be found in the NENAkb and NENA-ADM-001, section 7.3.

If you are interested in applying for the RFP Working Group Co-Chair role, please complete the application located at the bottom of the Development Steering Council page, under NENA Development Group Documents, and return via email to the PSAP Logistics Committee Co-Chairs Lisa Dodson and Amy McDowell.
