From now through October 31, NENA is accepting session proposals for the NENA 2023 Conference & Expo taking place at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, TX from June 17-22.

Presenting a session at NENA 2023 allows you to share your knowledge and experience with an audience of 9-1-1 professionals eager to gain and share information. It is also your chance to give back to the profession and help inspire, inform, and educate attendees on important issues.

To ensure your submission receives due consideration, please ensure that:

  • Your proposal is issue-focused, not product-focused;
  • Your 65-word presentation description contains a precise objective;
  • You are able to identify three clear audience takeaways;
  • You fully complete all areas of the submission form and provide accurate contact information, including phone number(s), email address(es), and mailing address(es);
  • You use proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation; and
  • You provide the names of any co-presenters with your submission (or prior to the close of the submission window).

GIS Basics for Public Safety

FREE for NENA MembersClick here to register!

Geographic Information Systems, or GIS, is a relatively new technology in 9-1-1. It comes with its own nerdy language and may seem unapproachable to many 9-1-1 professionals, from telecommunicators to managers. In this webinar, we’ll demonstrate how you’re thinking geographically already, how GIS technology impacts your work now, and how it will become even more important in the future. Attend to learn about:

  • Basic GIS concepts for 9-1-1 professionals;
  • Terminology that will help you communicate more clearly with your GIS support; and
  • Current and future operational impacts of GIS technology.

Can't attend on the 28th? Register now and you will receive an email after the live presentation with instructions for accessing the on-demand webinar archive.

Unpacking Two Critical Topics for NG9-1-1 Implementation: Location & Cybersecurity
Sponsored by Motorola Solutions
Wednesday, October 5 | 1PM Eastern (live) or On-Demand
FREE! Click here to register!

Delivering NG9-1-1 calls with location is finally here! Along with that delivery, protecting the PSAP from cyberattacks better be here, too! These are two critical values to extract as we implement NG9-1-1. Join us on October 5th as we unpack these topics and what they mean for your PSAP. You will hear from Motorola Solutions’ Master Teachers – Richard Kelly, Geospatial Solutions, Ira Pyles, NGCS, and Dan Zeiler, NGCS Network Services. Richard and Ira will illustrate how 9-1-1 calls can be delivered with the caller’s location and Dan will address cybersecurity risks with 9-1-1 call routing and best practices to reduce risks.

Can't attend on the 5th? Register now and you will have access to the on-demand webinar archive via the registration landing page

CEUs: Attend this webinar and receive one-half ENP re-certification point toward the six-point maximum for non-NENA courses in the Professional Development CEU/Course Credits section.
