NENA's Gold Line Scholarships provide training opportunities for our nation's first first responders, 9-1-1 dispatchers. Working in 9-1-1 is difficult and getting harder every day, that's what makes your support of these scholarships so important.

From the AMA website: "With the current 9-1-1 system primarily built upon infrastructure that does not uniformly support modern communications technologies including texting, geolocation and images, delegates approved a resolution aimed at bolstering the system, particularly with regard to SMS messaging. The resolution supports funding for the modernization of the 9-1-1 infrastructure and the incorporation of text to 9-1-1 technology, which would improve access to 9-1-1 services for those with hearing and speech disabilities, as well as in locations where 9-1-1 call centers are not currently mandated to accept SMS messages."
Volunteers Wanted
The NENA Real-Time-Text Work Group seeks participants who can provide subject-matter knowledge related to CPE, CAD, mapping solutions, and logging recorders to highlight the potential impacts of RTT on these technologies. Click here to join if you can provide this technology-specific content for the work group's document-creation efforts.
