NENA is pleased to announce that it has received a Power of Associations Gold Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) for its 9-1-1 Goes to Washington (GTW) advocacy event.

As NENA’ s annual "fly-in" to Washington, DC, GTW educates Members of Congress and staff about the challenges facing America’s 9-1-1 system and empowers association members to advocate for bipartisan solutions. In February 2025, GTW achieved record attendance – 444 attendees from 46 states and two territories – making a significant impact on Capitol Hill and setting the stage to further strengthen NENA’s year-round advocacy. Launched in 2024, NENA’s State Captains program grew to 25 leaders in 2025, enhancing coordination throughout state delegations and making our efforts on Capitol Hill even more impactful.

"Congratulations to NENA: The 9-1-1 Association for exemplifying the impact that associations have on the industries and professions they represent, and on society at large," said ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE. "It is exciting to see associations going above and beyond their everyday missions to change the world. We are very proud to spotlight this award-winning program."
