NENA seeks volunteers for the NENA Emergency Telephone Notification Systems Working Group to shepherd the draft of NENA Minimum Standards for Emergency Notification Systems through the document approval process. The working group has revised the current standard intended to provide guidance to the public safety and private sector communities on operational, administrative and procedural issues – along with general technical considerations - germane to the proper acquisition, implementation and management of an Emergency Telephone Notification System.
A variety of expertise is being sought from the public safety and 9-1-1 industries as well as those with experience in communications center personnel operations. Specifically, the working group seeks to add members in the "General Interest" and "Producer" interest categories as defined in Section 3 Document Development Process of the NENA Development Operational Procedures, NENA-ADM-001.6-2025.
The Working Group meets every other Tuesday from 11AM - 12PM Eastern.
