Apply to Join NENA Staff as the New Committee Resource Manager

NENA: The 9-1-1 Association seeks qualified candidates to serve as the association's Committee Resource Manager (CRM).

NENA is a recognized Standards Development Organization (SDO) that develops operational and technical standards for public safety organizations, chiefly 9-1-1. 9-1-1 systems internationally are built and operated according to NENA’s ever-increasing free and open standards literature. As of this writing, over 1,000 individuals contribute to NENA’s over 100 standards. The CRM’s duty is to support this standards development activity.

The main responsibilities of the position are:

  • NDG Workgroup administration, including shepherding of documents through the development process, from inception of the initial Issue through NENA board and ANSI approval;
  • NDG community support, including answering questions about document-development procedures and NDG policies; and
  • ANSI coordination, including ensuring all processes are followed for ANSI-track documents.
