ICYMI: New, Enhanced PSAP Registry Available From NENA

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

The new NENA Enhanced PSAP Registry & Census (EPRC) service provides an online portal for information about PSAPs having jurisdiction for any USA location (includes Puerto Rico). This includes 24x7 10-digit numbers for each PSAP. The EPRC will completely replace the previous PSAP Registry, and requires issuance of unique credentials to each NENA validated user.

All current NPR users must obtain new credentials (ID and Password) for the EPRC as soon as possible, since access and familiarization with the new database is necessary before the old NPR is turned down soon. Users both old and new can obtain EPRC credentials at eprc.nena.org.

A major new feature is map oriented, visual inquiry to find PSAP data, and inquiries can also be coordinate-based, or community- or address-related. Public-safety users now have an online update function to provide proposed changes to PSAP data items; the updates are vetted by NENA before activation in the live database. Questions may be directed to 911eprc@nena.org.
