According to the US Census Bureau, there are 24.3 million black women in the workforce in this country, representing 14% of all U.S. women and 52% of all African Americans. However, they are chronically paid less than their white counterparts. Whereas the average wage gap of all women is around $0.20 (compared to the average of every dollar earned by her white male counterpart), the gap is more like $0.33 for black women. (Forbes)
