According to the Pew Research Center, 43 percent of the world's population uses a smartphone. As of July 2015, 76 percent of adults who go online use social networking sites. Young adults are the most likely to say they use social media sites, and men have recently caught up with women in overall social media use. We check Facebook so often that the company no longer just measures users on a monthly basis. A more important number is how many people check in on a daily basis.
