Atlanta Chapter Red Hearts Community Service Project: Community Marketplace
9:00 a.m. - Noon
The culminating event will be a ‘Community Marketplace’ where families in need will freely select donated items from various stations or "stores" within the Community Marketplace and participate in enrichment workshops.

MEMBERSHIP
Four NBMBAA Chapters – Dallas, Detroit, Greater Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. – earned the 2013 Chapter of the Year Award for overall excellence and Norman Fleming of the Chicago Chapter earned the MBA of the Year Award.
The awards were announced Friday at the NBMBAA Annual Membership Meeting, which kicked off with a roll call that elicited an array of lively responses to the delight of attendees at the two-hour gathering.
Other award recipients included: Jackie Vick, president of the St. Louis Chapter, Senior President Award; the Dallas Chapter, Leaders of Tomorrow Chapter of the Year; Leonard James III, Game-Changer Award.
CAREER
Using the Sony Walkman and the Apple iPod as examples of companies that did not and did anticipate change to enable a pivot in product development as well as marketing strategy, Terra Winston, ringleader of inTerractions Consulting, described how important elasticity is in today’s competitive business environment.

Recruiters search LinkedIn profiles to find premier talent. So how do you write a winning profile and engage with members so that recruiters find you? Conference attendees learned what action to take to help capture the attention of recruiters during Friday’s General Session, "A Match Made In Professional Heaven." Charlene Narcelles, customer education specialist for LinkedIn, reviewed four key areas members must address: identity, credibility, thought leadership and persistence.

LEADERSHIP
The National Black MBA Association® honored outstanding members, partners and students at the Friday Keynote Luncheon. A list of Association scholarship winners scrolled on the screen as D. Steve Boland, managing director and home loan origination executive of Bank of America took the stage to kick off the luncheon.
