As Canada’s largest city and most-visited destination, Toronto is Canada’s downtown. Toronto blends the best of modern Canadian diversity and inclusiveness with big-ticket events, top attractions, restaurants, music, architecture, culture and festivals in one of the world’s most unique and exciting cities.

Special events this week include:

ASAE Opening Night Reception
7-9:30 p.m. tonight

Join us for the Opening Night Reception at the magnificent Royal Ontario Museum to kick off the 2017 ASAE Annual Meeting. Rated one of the 15 most beautiful museums in the world last year by Conde Nast Traveler, the ROM invites you to discover ancient dinos, mysterious artifacts, and glittering gems as you network, connect, and explore a variety of irresistible food and beverage stations.

After the event, wander the fabulous neighbourhood of Bloor-Yorkville with its upscale restaurants and top-rated people-watching patios.

ASAE Foundation’s The Classic
7-9:30 p.m. Monday

With the iconic skyline of "Canada’s downtown" as a glittering backdrop, experience Toronto’s festivals, diverse in culture, cuisine and entertainment. Jump up, salsa in the streets, stroll the red carpet, celebrate the Arts and show your Pride – or chill out in a private lakefront cabana and enjoy breathtaking waterfront views.

As the sun sets, capture the magic of summer music festivals with Alan Frew of Glass Tiger and Tom Cochrane. 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of Mad Mad World featuring hit songs Life is A Highway and Lunatic Fringe.

Your VIP Experience provides early access to Cabana, Rebel and the "Noir" Lounge and features an exclusive, advance performance by Alan Frew.

ASAE’s Closing Reception
7-9 p.m. Tuesday

Your neighbours to the north are having a party!

You are invited to join us as we celebrate Canada’s 150th and its diverse, beautiful country from coast to coast at Roundhouse Park, beside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. No need to peek over the fence – your conference badge gets you into the party to experience our neighbourly hospitality.

Sip, savour and explore what makes Canada unique (and fun!) immersed in city lights, sights and sounds. As the sun sets, we’ll dance under the stars with "Dwayne Gretzky" until Choose Chicago throws open their doors for a genuine Late Night Chicago after-party!
