Attendees celebrate ASAE's Opening Night; below, Project Bandaloop's acrobatics.
Salt Lake City gave ASAE Annual Meeting attendees a warm welcome at Saturday night’s Opening Reception, which took place on the grounds nestled between the The Leonardo Museum and the Salt Lake City Public Library. Guests were greeted with the cool mountain air that Utah summer nights are known for, and everyone enjoyed tasting local dishes and drinks, including pulled pork on corn waffles, grilled steak with roasted vegetables, flaming donuts and gelato (a sweet treat much talked about on social media!), and craft beer from Squatters and Wasatch breweries.Project Bandaloop showcased its gravity-defying choreography along the library’s six-story glass walls as the sun set just beyond the mountains in the distance. The evening came to a close with a fireworks show that lit up the city sky. Friends old and new enjoyed a fantastic kick-off to what is sure to be another memorable event.
