Education / Training
Join us for an informative webinar to review and discuss the proposed changes to member dues. This session is designed to provide clarity on the reasoning behind the proposal, how the increased dues would support the organization's goals, and what it means for members moving forward.
This empowering and practical webinar is designed to support newly elected board members as they transition from campaigning or volunteering to leading with purpose. You’ll learn how to confidently step into your role, align with NAWIC’s mission, set chapter goals, collaborate effectively with fellow board members, and make a meaningful impact in your local construction community. Whether you’re a first-time board member or stepping into a new leadership position, this session will give you the tools and mindset to lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose. If you have any questions you would like asked or a certain topic addressed, please email them to shawna@odonnellplastering.com Being an ally is being there for someone that is this different than yourself. Perhaps it’s someone of a different race, gender identity, LGBTQ+, or someone with a disability. There are many more dimensions to diversity. People can’t self-proclaim to be allies for others, rather it is through day-to-day actions and behaviors that one demonstrates to others that you want to be an ally for them. In this workshop, leaders will learn how to: Embrace the tension of paradox through appreciating ambiguity with diversity and inclusion Separate intentions vs. impacts to coach others on how to be inclusive. Call people into the diversity conversation and promote healthy accountability as allies Together, we will learn how to lead like allies and create space for all humans to feel like they belong in the workplace. ![]()

Industry Update
Across industries, tariffs raise the cost of importing goods into the U.S., directly impacting consumer pricing. Homeowners who are planning to renovate—whether they hire a contractor or complete the work themselves—are particularly exposed to widespread increases in the cost of building materials due to the most recent tariffs.
