Motherhood in Construction Study Participants Needed

I am a PhD student under Dr. Stacey Bridges at Grand Canyon University pursuing a degree in
Psychology. My name is Carrie Montes. I am conducting a research study to explore how
women describe their experiences with motherhood and workplace support alongside promotions
in the US construction industry.
I am looking for:
• Women
• Who are members of the NAWIC
• Live in the US
• Experiencing providing care for a child between the age 2 to 10 while seeking career
advancement in the US construction industry.
• Are supervisors, managers, coordinators, foremen, directors, executives, or CEO, COO,
CFO,CHRO in the construction industry.
You cannot be in this study if you:
• Are not a women
• Are not a member of NAWIC
• Do not live in the US
• Not providing care for a child between the age 2 to 10 while seeking career advancement
in the US construction industry.
• Not a supervisor, manager, coordinator, foreman, director, executive, or CEO, COO,
CFO,CHRO in the construction industry.
Participation in this study will include:
o A demographic questionnaire, an interview, and/or focus group.
o Interview and focus group will last 60-120 minutes.
o Interviews and focus group will take place on Zoom.
o Interviews and focus group will be audio and video recorded through Zoom.

Your participation in this study is voluntary.
Your identity will be protected throughout this study. Your name with not be used in the results of
the study.
