You Can Now Vote Online for Your Region’s Director

After a recent change to the NAWIC bylaws, members will now elect Region Directors via online voting. This year, members of the Midwest, Northeast, North Central and Pacific Southwest Regions will vote for a new Director, at the same time that they vote for the Executive Committee officers.

All voting members in good standing will receive an email on May 15 that includes voting instructions and a link to their online ballot. This ballot will include all national officer and region director candidates for the member’s region, if applicable.

Due to the changes in voting procedures, the deadline for any Director candidate applications will be February 1, 2018, which is the same deadline as national officer candidate applications. Qualifications to serve as Region Director are:

·      Must be a voting member in good standing

·      Must have served at least one term as a chapter president

·      Must be a member of a chapter within the region in which the candidate wishes to serve as Director
