NAPFA's 2026 Large Firm Forum will be held February 2–4, 2026, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This year’s program includes sessions on organic growth, mergers and acquisitions, large firm benchmarking, and AI integration. New formats include two roundtable discussions that will offer attendees the opportunity to safely dive deep into topics that are critical to them.
Our general session speaker, Meagan Johnson, will share insights on understanding generational differences in the workforce and addressing generational stereotypes.
The forum includes two panel discussions:
Succession Planning—Our succession panel will highlight discussions that include timeline and tax and legal considerations for ownership transfers, internal vs. external succession, valuation methods and deal structures, and maintaining client relationships and team stability through transition—plus our panelists will share lessons learned and highlight what they wish they had known sooner.
RIA—Our RIA panel will have topics that highlight building reserves and managing cash flow, hiring strategies and compensation models, what panelists wish they did differently in hindsight, metrics that matter, and balancing growth investments.
Two roundtable sessions offer opportunities for peer-to-peer discussion on:
Organic Growth—Attendees will share experiences with growth initiatives, discuss techniques for overcoming challenges, and learn from each other's successes and mistakes.
AI Implementation—This session provides a forum for attendees to discuss technical and practical aspects of incorporating AI into advisory practices, share real-world experiences, and learn what other firms are encountering.
