NAPA’s Quality in Construction (QIC) Awards identify road projects across the nation that meet and exceed standards for performance, from state road overlays to full-scale interstate paving. Operational Excellence Awards focus on other aspects of the industry, including community service and sustainability.
IMPACT Leadership Group Committee nominations are due Oct. 10. After the nominations deadline, NAPA staff will review nominations for eligibility before voting opens up for two weeks. Two weeks after the completed elections, the results will be announced.

![]() ![]() The competition seeks out ideas for a two-phase evaluation. At the end of the first phase, top technologies will be selected by an expert panel for Phase 2 validation at the NCAT Test Track and MnROAD.
NAPA’s Associate Member Council is holding its elections to allow new participants to join the 21-member group. NAPA members can review candidate-provided write-ups and cast a ballot for up to seven individuals through Friday, Oct. 3.

NAPA members joined their colleagues from other trade associations in the road construction space in Washington, D.C. last week as part of Hill Day, the industry’s collective advocacy push to engage with lawmakers about challenges in horizontal construction. Congress was in session, meaning members were meeting with their representatives and their staff in between votes in the Capitol, including one that confirmed a new leader of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
