NAPA released SIP-111 Energy and Emissions Benefits of RAP and WMA Usage 2023, which examined data submitted last year.

These reports, like the annual construction season recycled materials and WMA survey reports, are developed based on data submissions from asphalt mix producers, which means NAPA needs your help to ensure these reports are as comprehensive and accurate as possible.

Asphalt Mix Producers: Help NAPA gather 2024 construction season data by completing these surveys by July 1.

NAPA joins the friends and family of Frank "David" Reed Jr. of Guntersville, Alabama, who passed away on June 19.

President & CEO of Whitaker Contracting Corp., which Vulcan Materials acquired in 2024, Reed twice served as president of the Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA), and also served a term as president of the Alabama Road Builders Association.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey appointed Reed to serve as chairman of the Marshall County Commission on June 6. "Reed’s many achievements in business have literally paved the way for economic growth and prosperity in the Tennessee Valley," Ivey said in a statement announcing the appointment.

Six asphalt mix plants from NAPA members were recognized at the NAPA 2025 Annual Meeting as 2025 ENERGY STAR Certified Facilities

Nearly 12,000 industry professionals explored an exhibit floor that spanned more than 230,000 square feet of the America’s Center Convention Complex during the 2025 World of Asphalt Show & Conference, just blocks from the Gateway Arch, Busch Stadium, and the Enterprise Center.

“Boosted by a significant expansion in exhibit space, we’re proud to have executed another tremendous World of Asphalt with our partner, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), as well as the highly valued and well attended People, Plants, and Paving Conference that drives industry innovation and crew expertise,” said NAPA President & CEO Audrey Copeland.

TRB announced that it will be sunsetting its current standing technical committees in favor of a new, more cohesive structure.

“By simplifying the structure, volunteers will be free to contribute their expertise while accountability remains with staff,” its executive officers said in a letter, directing those who want to learn more to explore new functions within MyTRB as well as a webpage complete with an interactive organizational chart to explain the changes.
