In part 2 of Guidelines for Use of Asphalt Overlays to Rehabilitate PCC Pavements, representatives from New Jersey DOT and Pennsylvania DOT will present case studies where they applied techniques such as break and seat, crack and seat, and rubblization to rehabilitate failed concrete pavements.

A memorial service will be held for former NAPA employee David Newcomb at Kerrville First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, TX at 10 a.m. CT on May 4.

Newcomb served as NAPA's vice president for engineering, research, and technology from 1999 until 2011. He was also involved in the leadership of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT), serving as president in 2012, and chairing the membership committee. Newcomb retired from the Texas A&M Transportation Institute.
