Asphalt pavement professionals from across the nation will head to Scottsdale, Arizona, Jan. 26-29 to plan, network, and learn through programming aimed at helping the industry thrive in 2026 and beyond at the NAPA 2026 Annual Meeting.

 
 
Jesse Cole, owner of the world-famous Savannah Bananas, will be a featured speaker on Tuesday, Jan. 27, as part of a session that will also include the passing of the gavel to incoming NAPA Board of Directors Chair Jay Lemon. Jesse, founder of Fans First Entertainment, will share with attendees how to break the rules, change the game, and create an unforgettable customer experience.
 

Sam Demma, best-selling author of Empty Your Backpack and founder of PickWaste, will share his passion for helping others create positive change as part of the closing general session on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
 
   

A new programming format will debut at the NAPA 2026 Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona Jan. 27-30, and you are invited to be part of it.

Member-to-Member Live will bring a parade of speakers to the stage for informative, 8-minute presentations on a variety of themed topics.

NAPA announced the newly elected State Advisors who will represent their states on the NAPA Advisory Council for the 2026–2028 term. These leaders bring deep industry experience and regional insight to help shape the future of asphalt pavement across the country. 

 
Each State Advisor was elected by producer members in good standing and will serve a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026. Their role is vital in ensuring that state-level perspectives are heard at the national level.

The European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) will explore the successes, challenges, and debates from the European transition to WMA in a webinar on Nov. 10 titled Lessons and Insights from Europe’s WMA Transition.

 
This webinar will share lessons from Europe’s transition — the successes, challenges, and debates — to help others worldwide prepare their own path.

Since 2012, the NAPA Research & Education Foundation has supported the families of crew members who were lost in work zone incidents through the NAPA Care Emergency Benevolent Fund.

The NAPAREF Board of Trustees voted in September to raise the total amount given to recipients to $10,000.

AIEI (Asphalt, Innovate, Enlighten, Implement) experts will explore upcoming changes to asphalt binder specifications in a series of webinars kicking off Nov. 6 and wrapping up the first week of December. 

The three-part series will provide valuable insight into how current research is shaping the future of asphalt binder specifications and testing practices.
 
   

Rieth-Riley Superintendent Jon Holman is working to make hiring practices at Rieth-Riley and companies across a host of other industries even more military friendly.

“If I can get veterans plugged into these good companies, they’re going to be in a lot better position, financially and mentally, than I was when I got out,” Holman says.
