This webinar covers a wide range of topics relating to appellate law and practice. We will examine technical aspects of appellate practice, as well as current academic subjects affecting the functions of appellate courts. While differences exist from state to state and between state courts and federal courts, we will examine general trends in technology and issues of judicial ethics common to all courts. Additionally, the rise in the use of methods of alternative dispute resolution in the appellate process will be examined. Having these concepts in mind will assist the legal professional in preparing for an appeal and impart an understanding of the importance of issue and evidence preservation.  |
