At NAFA's Annual Business Meeting on April 14, NAFA President Patti Earley, CAFM, honored Peter Belloli, CAFM, for his commitment to NAFA and its chapters. "Peter has been Chair of the NAFA New England Chapter for more than five years, which is three years more than the average, but there’s a reason for this," Earley explained. Members of Congress introduced the Driving America Forward Act on April 9. The legislation would add 400,000 units on top of the original 200,000 units limited by the manufacturer for the 30D plug-in electric vehicle tax credit. On April 19, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued a report assessing the likely impact of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, predicting that USMCA would result in nominal gains for the U.S. GDP and employment. The federal government recently announced important details regarding its national Incentives for the Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program, which will officially take effect on May 1, 2019. As of this date, Canadian fleets and consumers will be eligible for rebates of up to $5,000 on qualifying ZEV purchases under the government’s plan.
