Nominations For NAFA's National Awards Close This Thursday

You can nominate a NAFA member who exemplifies the best of leadership qualities. NAFA’s National Award Program allows the Association to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to NAFA or the fleet profession in specific areas or over targeted periods of time. NAFA’s Distinguished Service Award is the Association’s highest honor and form of recognition. The Distinguished Service Award is bestowed upon an individual who made unique, exemplary, or extraordinary contributions to the Association or fleet industry over the span of many years.

Those selected for the award are often high-profile individuals based on the results achieved for NAFA or the fleet profession.

NAFA’s Distinguished Service Award includes lifetime complimentary membership in NAFA and lifetime complimentary admission to NAFA’s annual Institute & Expo (I&E). Distinguished Service Award winners will be honored at I&E and will receive a token of NAFA’s appreciation and recognition in NAFA’s publications in the year in which their honor is bestowed.

Honorary Membership Award recognizes outstanding service to NAFA, the fleet administration profession, the automotive industry, a community, state, or nation. Typically, Honorary Membership is awarded to an individual at the end of his/her fleet career and allows the individual to stay connected to NAFA. (NAFA’s “Retired Member” class allows retiring individuals to stay connected to NAFA in exchange for some small annual dues.) Honorary Membership may also be awarded to dignitaries and other industry notables whom NAFA wishes to recognize.

Honorary Membership includes lifetime complimentary membership in NAFA. Honorary Members will be honored at I&E and will receive a token of NAFA’s appreciation and recognition in NAFA’s publications in the year in which their honor is bestowed.

The Excellence in Education Award recognizes one Regular Member or Associate Member in good standing who made exceptional contributions to the creation, development, and implementation of education programs for fleet managers, over an extended period of years.

Excellence in Education winners will be honored at I&E and will receive lifetime complimentary admission to I&E, a token of NAFA’s appreciation, and recognition in NAFA’s publications in the year in which their honor is bestowed.

NAFA’s Outstanding Service Award recognizes outstanding contributions, extended years of service, or other exemplary work performed over any period of time by a Regular Member, Associate Member, Retired Member, Honorary Member, or Student Member on behalf of NAFA at any level (national, chapter, committee, task force, etc.). Anyone may nominate an individual for this award, including self-nominations.

Outstanding Service Award winners will be honored at I&E and will receive a token of NAFA’s appreciation and recognition in NAFA’s publications in the year in which their honor is bestowed.
