NAFA has been named to the Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Auto-ISAC), as a strategic partner. In this alliance, NAFA will represent and advocate for the fleet and mobility profession in a partnership that will directly impact vehicle safety and security.

“With today’s high-tech vehicles running on multiple computers and networks, hackers have ample ability to break into the vehicle’s controls,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. “NAFA has been the voice of the fleet industry’s concerns and needs for vehicle security, advocating to lawmakers and regulators the need for stringent cybersecurity. Our partnership with Auto-ISAC further strengthens our longstanding mission and commitment.”

Established in August 2015, Auto-ISAC is an alliance of auto industry suppliers and automakers created to enhance cybersecurity awareness and collaboration across the global automotive industry. Auto-ISAC operates a central hub for sharing, tracking, and analyzing intelligence about cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents related to the connected vehicle. Auto-ISAC members account for more than 99 percent of light-duty vehicles in North America, with over 30 global OEM and supplier members.

As part of the agreement with Auto-ISAC, NAFA will have access to information, reports, webinars, workshops, and other educational tools to share with its members. This positions NAFA to have even greater influence and impact on the future of vehicle cybersecurity.
