Chicago Chapter Holds Local Chapter "Member Mixer" Event

The Chicago Chapter recently conducted its first ever "Member Mixer", open only to local fleet managers who are current and potential future Chicago NAFA Chapter Members. These "mixers" were created to offer an opportunity for local fleet managers to network, collaborate, and provide feedback about chapter activities to the local NAFA Board Members in an informal setting. The Chicago Chapter covered the full cost of the meeting including the meeting venue, refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle for two gift cards.

Chapter Chair Diane Lopez said "The Chicago Chapter Board was looking for a way to engage current and potential Chicago Chapter Members in a low key environment to solicit feedback on how future chapter programs could better serve the membership. We decided that a series of no-cost, after hours, Members only networking events would be a good way to do this."

At the meeting, Chapter Board Members explained the chapter’s mission to provide meaningful events throughout the year that augment the annual NAFA I&E. The round table format enabled the Board to solicit attendees’ thoughts and ideas about future chapter events. These ideas will be incorporated into future meeting plans.

The next Chicago Chapter (Fleet Manager only) "Member Mixer" will be held on July 17 in Oak Brook, IL.
