Leonie Von Halle To Leave CSC In 2012

It was recently announced that NAFA Member Leonie Von Halle, Manager of Corporate Fleet for Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) would be leaving her position for new opportunities. Von Halle has been with CSC since 1999. The change is due to CSC's decision to move their Corporate Office Headquarters to Virginia from current homebase of El Segundo, CA.

Von Halle said that her tenure with CSC provided her with unique degrees of professional growth. "I learnt how to manage a large Executive Fleet catering to very high level executives in the company, as well as assisting field operation personnel in the administration of the fleet program. This was key in my development of strong communication skills," Von Halle said.

Due to the nature of CSC’s relocation, Von Halle has begun to seek new opportunities and she offers firsthand advice to a fleet-oriented workforce that must reconcile change. "The current economic environment forces you to identify the key components of your success in your career and then use this information to leverage your collective experiences. One has to identify areas that are not in your comfort zone and then pursue them knowing that you have charted new waters before and you can do it again. The key is to identify any weak spots and spend more time improving in these areas."

While her time with CSC is drawing to a close, Von Halle said that she is open to furthering her work within the fleet industry. "My passion and experience is in fleet and I would love to stay in this area. However, I will strongly consider branching out to a similar type of environment which utilizes by skills sets and organizational skills."

Leonie Von Halle’s departure from CSC is effective on January 6, 2012 and her new challenges and goals are reflected in her pragmatic view of the situation. "Life is a journey and this is just one of the many steps in the way."
