The Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS) program gives candidates the option of selecting one of three discipline sets based on their education or employment needs:
  • Discipline Set One: Includes Fleet Information Management, Professional Development, Risk Management, and Financial Management.
  • Discipline Set Two: Includes Asset Management, Fleet Information Management, Business Management, and Risk Management.
  • Discipline Set Three: Includes Fleet Information Management, Maintenance Management, Professional Development, and Vehicle Fuel Management.
The CAFM certification program offers the most up-to-date fleet management education. Successful completion of the CAFM program requires passing all eight disciplines within a three-year period. The eight disciplines are:
  • Asset Management
  • Business Management
  • Financial Management
  • Fleet Information Management
  • Maintenance Management
  • Risk Management
  • Vehicle Fuel Management
  • Professional Development
The CAFS and CAFM programs are open to any individual with at least one year experience in any fleet-related position, as well as those enrolled in a college or university program in a fleet-related discipline. Those who successfully complete a CAFS discipline set are eligible to continue their studies in the remaining disciplines to earn their CAFM designation.
