Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get: The Evolution Of FleetFOCUS

FleetFOCUS aims to be your go-to source for news, your communication hub, and as much a conversation between NAFA and its membership as a digest of the latest topics. It is an ongoing effort to make it your first stop, and it can only happen if we're giving you, the reader, what you're looking for. NAFA, as your Association, always strives for the best member service and experience possible.

What you'll find in this publication, in upcoming weeks and months, is something of a graduated rebranding which began with the previous issue. Readers found more information regarding upcoming chapter meetings, a more pronounced effort to connect with our readership, and a subsection entitled "Opinions" where we shall welcome ideas, offer personal perspectives, and occasionally mull over and vent about everything fleet. However, that is only the beginning.

Submitted for your approval, in this very issue, are brand new news sections that will further allow us the chance to target your areas of interest. Please let us know what you think about these changes - email ddunphy@nafa.org and don't be shy.

Onward, upward, and through the roof!

Corporate Information
: This section presents the movements in corporate America as it pertains to fleet. Which is gearing up, right-sizing, or changing their fleet's preferred vehicle models? Whose company is proposing business models that could directly relate to yours? You'll find that news right here in the Corporate Information department.

Movers And Shakers: These are professionals within the industry that will likely become more prominent in the future. Read about them first right here and catch them on the upward track.

Municipal News: Local governments generate serious fleet news, and just like larger entities, great ideas often arrive from unlikely places. A new system, vehicle, or policy could turn a small town fleet into the talk of the industry and, frankly, FleetFOCUS wants to be the newsletter that covers it first.

Public Safety Topics: Like its corporate counterpart, Public Safety is a huge portion of the spectrum. With this section, this all-important sector gets its due in a domain all its own.

Chapter Updates: Did your NAFA chapter have a great meeting, an insightful topic, or simply want to remind members of upcoming events? Do you have pictures of a particularly memorable occurrence during the last presentation? Your colleagues in fleet want to see them and so do we!

Offbeat News: Some subjects are interesting, thought-provoking, standard-challenging, and some subjects are just plain weird. Offbeat News is as valid as the rest of our departments... only with an emphasis on the odd. We have a feeling this will become one of our most popular features, and with this edition's subjects in mind, you'll realize why we had to give it a try.
