NAFA Holds International Seminar

Do you have vehicles operating in countries outside of North America?  If so, do you have a need for a uniform reporting platform that would enable you to benchmark your global operations and compare "apples to apples," regardless of the countries in which your vehicles operate?

NAFA recently held a workshop on global reporting requirements that will serve as the launching pad for our efforts to help fleet managers just like you.  During the invitation-only workshop, we covered topics such as:

  • How to get started managing a global fleet
  • Understanding the closed end nature of leasing outside the U.S.
  • Reporting requirements
  • Identifying your expenses, establishing a baseline, and monitoring your progress
  • Seeing regional differences within countries and specific geographic areas
  • Determining your investment in the various entities within your supply chain, including OEMs
  • Calculating your CO2 footprint and seeing the impact of potential changes on your operations
  • Developing actionable information that you can use to harmonize fleet policies worldwide
Much of the foundation for the workshop was formed on the results of a survey NAFA conducted in June.  In just ten days, the results showed the nearly two dozen respondents had more than 150,000 vehicles in seventy-five countries and a global supply chain of more than seven hundred suppliers.  (If you would like to participate in the survey, you can still do so by clicking here:  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NAFA. Participants who provide contact information will receive an executive summary of the results.)

Although workshop participants were at various levels of implementation and success in their global fleet operations, all concurred that NAFA's workshop was an extremely valuable tool from both the instructional and networking perspectives.

I would like to thank Hans Damen and Peter Egan, from FleetVision, for working with NAFA to develop the workshop.  It will most certainly be repeated in coming months, both in-person and online.  If you are interested in participating in a future workshop, please email me so I can put your name on the reservation list.
