Since joining NAFA's FleetED Advisory Council and Certification Board in 2003, Patti Earley, CAFM, has been one of the major forces for NAFA Fleet Management Association's educational programs. Recently, at NAFA's Institute & Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina, her volunteer dedication was honored via the Excellence In Education Award.

Presented during the CAFM Breakfast, the award came as a complete surprise to Earley, pictured here with NAFA President Douglas Weichman, CAFM.  More than 40 fleet professionals earned their CAFM certifications during the ceremony, a testament to the quality of the program that Earley and others helped create and refine.

NAFA Vice President Bryan Flansburg, CAFM, noted Earley's leadership of NAFA's Education Development Committee, resulting in the completion of the Education Competency Model. "Thanks in no small part to her efforts, NAFA now offers a guide in every discipline and core competency of the fleet profession," Flansburg said.

NAFA's Excellence In Education Award was created in 2003 to honor exceptional contributions to fleet management education. Earley follows in distinguished company with prior winners: Christopher D. Amos, CAFM; Linda R. Carlton, CAFM; Ruth Alfson, CAFM; Walter Burnett, CAFM; Matt Betz; Julie Furlotte, CAFM; and Katherine Vigneau, CAFM.
