International Fleet Academy: RFPs - Buyer And Vendor Perspectives

Customers and suppliers naturally have different perspectives when it comes to preparing and answering Global RFPs. Customers try to include very specific and categorized questions to make sure they can make informed decisions about choice between multiple suppliers and regional matrices.

Suppliers, on the other hand, want to receive RFPs that are clear, succinct, and realistic. They want to know that there is a reasonable opportunity for them to win the business and that the methodology to quantify and measure price and value for service is fair and will be worth commitment of their resources to participate in the bid. The outcome for both sides is often a long, complex document that is difficult to read, challenging to answer, and problematic to interpret.

This session,  "RFPs - Buyer and Vendor Perspectives" will be held on Monday, April 18. IFA registrants in attendance will learn what makes a great RFP from both a buyer and supplier perspective, hear why pre-bid meetings and relationship building are important, and see examples of both successes and failures when it comes to RFP's.
