At NAFA's Chapter Appreciation Luncheon on April 24, NAFA Vice President Jeff Jeter, Fleet Manager, BlueBird Virginia, honored two individuals for their commitment to NAFA's chapters: Bridget Clark, NAFA's 2018 Outstanding Chapter Service Award for a Regular Member; and Nancy James, Regional Account Executive for the FCA Group, who received NAFA's 2018 Outstanding Chapter Service Award for an Associate Member.

"Every year for the past 20 years, NAFA has recognized two individuals – a Regular Member (or fleet manager) and an Associate Member (or supplier) -- who go above and beyond in service to NAFA’s chapters," Jeter said. "With 3,000 members in NAFA, and hundreds of you involved in the chapters, singling out just two people isn’t always easy. But our chapters always seem to come up with great choices. I have to tell you, they make judging the nominees a tough task for the folks who have to pick the winners."

Jeter noted Bridget Clark "has committed to nearly every aspect of NAFA’s Connecticut Chapter. Aside from serving as Chapter Chair and Vice Chair, she has been a force for chapter membership and in broadcasting the value of chapter membership.

Clark has been a proven advocate for fleet education and the pursuit of excellence, both on the chapter and national levels. Serving on NAFA’s Editorial Advisory Council, Education Development Committee, and Education Steering Board, she’s shown through action and effort that being great at what you do requires taking that extra step.

Jeter added, "It’s that extra step - illustrated by how she approaches fellow chapter members as well as those who she hopes to convince to become chapter members - that convinced her fellow Connecticut Chapter members to nominate her for this award."

Jeter accepted on behalf of Nancy James, was unable to attend I&E this year.

James has been instrumental in ensuring that the content of the chapter's meetings is pertinent and vital to fleet managers.

Jeter said, "Her experience as both an FMC and OEM representative gives her great insight into the important topics of the day."

James frequently runs the chapter's roundtable sessions and helps guide discussions during policy review topics. She assists with finding guest speakers and helping with presentations at countless meetings. She also actively recruits new members when visiting clients and customers.

Clark and James join NAFA icons including Hy Goodman, George Argueta, David Lighthall, Betty Linck, Debbie Mize, Bob Martines, Ray Breault, Mark Petersen, and Sheryl Grossman, to name but a few, as Chapter Service Award winners.
