Establishing and Growing a Fleet Excellence Program - TxDOT Case Study
Tuesday, April 25, 2017

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) introduced a Fleet Excellence (FLEX) initiative in 2014 to streamline operations in its 27 shops across the state. This helped reduce equipment downtime by completing repairs faster and saving money on outsourced work.

The following year they introduced additional phases, FLEX II and III as well as training to help district staff learn how to work effectively with fleet staff. Content from the training is now being incorporated into an ongoing maintenance curriculum.

During the session Establishing and Growing a Fleet Excellence Program - TxDOT Case Study, taking place Tuesday, April 25, you will learn to identify opportunities for establishing a fleet excellence program, how to describe methods for establishing a fleet excellence program, and how to establish goals for implementing your own fleet excellence program.
