The Judicial Conference of the United States has just announced the new adjusted dollar amounts for bankruptcy cases. These updates are tied to changes in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers over the last three years, leading up to Jan. 1, 2025.
The effective date of these adjustments is April 1, 2025, and this adjustment does not apply to cases commenced before April 1, 2025.
Affected sections of Titles 11 and 28 U.S.C. have been updated.
