MPI Toronto Diversity & Inclusion Task Force

Toronto is the most diverse city in the world. The local meeting and events industry is a large part of this accomplishment. Every year our city welcomes people from around the world to take part in some of the largest events celebrating diversity in the world. Examples include the Toronto Caribbean Carnival and Pride Toronto.

To build off this strength, the MPI Toronto Chapter has put together a Diversity & Inclusion Task Force. This group’s mission is to:

“Identify opportunities for MPI Toronto Chapter to increase the diversity of its community as it relates to the next generation of chapter leadership roles. Provide guidance and feedback to members that enables MPI Toronto Chapter to create a more inclusive environment across MPI Toronto Chapter’s community and events”.

The task force is currently defining diversity as “the differences that make us unique“ and includes, but is not limited to: race, ethnicity, language, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, gender, and much more.

Using Piccles, an interactive platform that allows groups to easily connect by expressing themselves with small authentic pictures and drawings, we want you, our MPI Toronto Member to answer the following question… What makes you unique?

Not only will submitting your response be easy and anonymous, but it will be a fun part of your day.

Submit your Piccle by September 4th, 2020:  https://app.piccles.com/UNIQUE

All images collected will be used to create a short video showcasing our membership's beautiful diversity.

Do you want to volunteer and be part of the MPI Toronto Diversity & Inclusion Task Force? If yes, email Wendy Derblich, Vice President, MPI Toronto Chapter at wendy.derblich@bayer.com.
