SINCERE THANK YOU TO OUR GENEROUS SPONSORS!!

Once again the Metro Toronto Convention Centre worked tirelessly with the committee to ensure that the event was a success. They not only hosted the gala, but also sponsored the sumptuous hors d’oeuvres for the reception and showcased their amazing trio sampler for dinner. Their professional staff were a pleasure to work with and provided great feedback and support.

Adding to that, AV-CANADA and the STRONCO Group of Companies led the technical direction/production, lighting, sound, backdrop, screen graphics, and Wall of Fame. If you’ve ever done an event of this type, you know how many times the script is changed leading up to the opening moment. Thanks to all for your patience and support. The Wall of Fame is always popular and past award recipients enjoy looking at their name ‘in lights’. The list of recipients is growing every year and wat a great way to recognize them.

Destination Quebec and the Quebec City Business Destination returned again this year with cash sponsorship. Partners from Quebec have been supporting this event from the beginning and their support is much appreciated.

Speakers’ Spotlight was able to secure Mary Jo Eustace, the committee’s choice of an MC. She kept the evening moving on time along with the help of our production team.

The Really Fabulous Event Company, recently formed by Diane Julien, made the room shine with their amazing linens and décor. Their team did an outstanding job of creating the room to match the theme.

EventMobi designed an app this year which included a game that attendees played during the reception. There was a lot of action going on in trying to complete the game which added a fun element to the event. Congratulations to Peggy Anderson, Fairmont Banff Springs, who was the prize winner.

Ottawa Tourism and the Shaw Centre, our Marquee Sponsors for the third year in a row, contribute to each of the chapter’s events throughout the year. Their contribution allows the chapter to have additional funds to enhance our events and it’s always fun to see what ‘red’ shoes Theresa and Dawn are wearing.

The Image Commission partners with the chapter for photography of events which include the event photos as well as fun, individual/group photos that attendees can have taken during the reception. Watch the website in a few weeks for the pictures.

The Toronto Congress Centre sponsored three awards and also provided the wonderful swag bags for all attendees at the end of the evening. This was in promotion of our 2017 Awards Gala which will be held at The Toronto Congress Centre.

Other award sponsors, for the second year in a row, included Fallsview Casino Resort, Hilton Hotel & Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview, Fletcher Wright Associates Inc, and Meetings Conventions Calgary. This was a new sponsorship opportunity in 2015 and these organizations were the first come on board with sponsorship.

D.E. Systems provided the online registration to ease the time it takes to register for events. They also partner with the Toronto Chapter for events throughout the year.

Naylor Canada, who produce our meeting magazine and chapter directory, provided cash sponsorship as part of our yearly agreement.

Everyone loves chocolates and Lindt Canada came on board to provide a nice gold box of chocolates for all attendees as they left the MTCC. Great for when you get that chocolate urge.

Let’s not forget the companies who contributed to the look of the gala. Thanks to Balloontrix for the beautiful balloons, Contemporary Furniture Rentals for the lounge furniture and ghost chairs, Event Graffiti for the lettering, vinyl, and photo booth backdrop, Saman Design Inc for the logo creation and vinyl graphics and Nothers Awards & Recognition for partial sponsorship of the actual awards.

Our sponsors continually support MPI Toronto Chapter, in part to support the industry, and in part to showcase what they have to offer in products and services. We encourage you to contact them when sourcing for your own events. Let them know that you contacted them because of their sponsorship at the Awards Gala.
