MPI Toronto Holiday Gala – December 1, 2015 – Allstream Centre

The holiday season has officially begun after a not so silent night at the 2015 MPI Toronto Holiday Gala generously hosted at the Allstream Centre. The halls were decked with holly and the night was filled with holiday festivity from start to finish! More than 500 guests were welcomed by the beautiful musical stylings of the harpist provided by Carol Priest Entertainment; it was like walking into a holiday market! Registration was seamless as always thanks to the cheerful staff and D.E Systems support. DT Floral & Décor and Detailz Chair Couture emphasized the holiday theme of the night with merry and bright decorations.

From the tantalizing aroma of soulful, wholesome food in the reception complete with a turkey dinner poutine and festive eggnog to the "holiday market" where vendors sold many holiday gifts to attendees, the festive season was certainly upon all of those who attended. Glisse on Ice’s Chantal Fry glided beautifully to the sounds of our favourite seasonal tunes while guests sipped on mulled wine and mingled and jingled with the industry’s finest. Ignite provided bags for the attendees to hold their purchases from the holiday market.

‘Tis the season to be giving and the MPI Toronto Community was certainly in the giving spirit as $3,000 was raised from the raffle tickets alone! The beautifully decorated tree in the lobby was surrounded by generous donations of unwrapped toys to be donated to the Breakfast With Santa Foundation. Guests enjoyed the festive ballroom and the incredible dinner from Cerise Fine Catering, which resembled a traditional holiday meal with a few creative twists and delicious surprises! We all enjoyed the beautiful musical stylings from young Avery Raquel and Countermeasure brought to the event by The Idea Hunter.

Marquis sponsors Ottawa Tourism and the Shaw Centre not only made generous contributions, but they also sent everyone home with delicious baked gingerbread cookies to enjoy! AV sponsor PSAV kept the night going and even provided a beautiful digital snow globe that filled-up in correlation with the amount of money raised throughout the evening.

In the next few weeks photos will be posted to the photo gallery on our new website at www.mpitoronto.org thanks to The Image Commission.

The MPI Toronto Holiday Gala Committee would like to thank the sponsors and all who attended, your participation made the evening a success and as always the MPI Toronto Holiday Gala was an evening that will not be soon forgotten. When we meet, we change the world and on December 1, 2015 the MPI Toronto family met and made a huge difference to the Breakfast With Santa Foundation and the MPI Toronto Chapter Educational Reserve Fund. We the committee thank you all, and wish each and every one of our members, family and friends a safe and happy holiday!
