Rachel Stark Among 2014 Collaborate 40 Under 40

Direct Energy Centre GM Arlene Campbell Inducted into CAEM Hall of Fame at 2014 CAEM Annual Awards Gala
Arlene Campbell, General Manager, Sales and Events of Direct Energy Centre, was inducted into Canada’s Exposition Management Hall of Fame at the annual Canadian Association of Exhibition Management (CAEM) awards gala "Celebrating the Stars of the Show." Campbell won 2014 Hall of Fame in the Associate Category. This high-level distinction award is given to leaders who have achieved prominence for the honour they bring to the exposition industry, and as a result of their activities within the industry. A Hall of Fame inductee is viewed as a professional with commitment to quality and a mentor who shares their wisdom and industry knowledge to expand the industry. Also recognized at the Awards Gala was Ken Jattan, Event Coordinator at Direct Energy Centre, for his graduation from the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) Program.

The announcement comes as Trump Toronto enters its second full year of operation.

Board of Governors of Exhibition Place Votes Unanimously in Favour of BMO Field Expansion
The Board of Governors of Exhibition Place voted unanimously in favour of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) expanding the seat capacity at BMO Field. MLSE has been very active in recruiting high performance players for the Toronto FC team and is now very interested in pursuing improvements to the field to enhance attendee experience. In the recently approved 2014-2016 Strategic Plan, the objective to actively support the expansion and enhancement of entertainment facilities was outlined. The Board of Governors of Exhibition Place is in favour of the MLSE initiative to improve BMO Field in advance of the Toronto 2015 PanAm Games.
