Second Harvest at CMEE 2025

What a fantastic year at the Canadian Meetings & Events Expo (CMEE 2025)! Our AV-CANADA team worked hard, and our virtual pinball game was a success. With a custom LED wall and special booth design, custom round panels, interactive display cubes and charging stations, we created an interactive gaming arena with three game views. We were able to engage over 600 fellow #eventprofs to come play to donate!

For each play, we donated $5 to Second Harvest, for a total of $3,000! Second Harvest is a key organization working to reduce food waste, promote food redistribution, lower our carbon footprint and provide meals within our communities. Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising program as these $3,000 will provide 9,090 meals to those in need! This is equal to 3 meals a day for a family of 4, for over 2 years. Also, as a result this will help avert 30,773 lbs. of GHGs from the atmosphere.

MPI Toronto Chapter Annual Golf Tournament

We’re thrilled to sponsor the MPI Toronto Chapter Annual Golf Tournament. This event brings a great opportunity for event professionals to connect, enjoy some good weather and have some fun! Our team has been involved in this event and has been playing a round for the past decade.

GT4 Racing with VPX Motorsport

We love sponsoring the Porsche GT4RS and driving team Danny Dyszelski and Alex Ellis, in the US Pirelli GT4 America racing circuit. The values that a racing team holds match those that our event teams hold. From teamwork and collaboration to detail-oriented planning, problem solving, timeliness and communication, everyone must work together to launch a successful event! A pit crew works seamlessly in less than a minute to get the car ready for the new lap, just as an event team works within seconds to engage real-time content, lighting, special effects and more so the show must go on!

Junior Pairs Skating

Discipline and grace are at the forefront of figure skating and planning meticulous events within a high-pressure environment where every second counts! We’re thrilled to support young talent Jazmin Desrochers and Keiran Thrasher as they represent Canada and continue to move up in the Junior Pairs international rankings. Go team!

Mississauga Food Bank

We celebrate the holidays with our entire staff, partners and vendors by embracing the season and also donating to the Mississauga Food Bank. As the need for food support increases, we have also increased the amount that we donate. Reaching $3,000 last year was fantastic and this year we are looking forward to supporting Second Harvest as well as the Mississauga Food Bank.
