MPI Toronto Chapter’s Canadian Meetings & Events Expo (CMEE) Breakfast 2023

This year for the first time, MPI Toronto organized an MPI membership breakfast on the opening day of the Canadian Meetings + Events Expo that ended up being a sold out event.

Held at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre, it was convenient for the MPI members who were attending CMEE and especially for those who were from out of town and staying at the hotel.

In addition to our Toronto chapter members who attended, we had members from the following chapters: Atlantic Canada, Ottawa, Arizona Sunbelt, and Potomac.

This was a great start to CMEE, and members appreciated the opportunity to get together before the show.

If you missed it this year, you’ll want to be there in 2024. Mark your calendars for the CMEE 2024 Members Breakfast on August 13th.

The photos say it all.

Following breakfast, we headed to the show floor for two days of connecting with members and non-members. The attendance was excellent this year and the chapter was able to recruit some new members. Thanks to those who volunteered to help at the booth.

The MPI Foundation Canada Council also held a raffle during the show. The draw was for a one-year membership. The lucky winner was Amina Hassan, Account Director with Moore Carlyle Consulting & MCC Destination Management. Amina had this to say: “I'm very grateful to MPI & the valuable sponsors for supporting me in this phase of my hospitality career. I've been in and around MPI since the 90s and this organization continues to help me develop professionally and grow my network. Thank you MPI and more specifically the Toronto Chapter!”

Thanks to Explore Waterloo Region for sponsoring the raffle prize.
