The Rewards of Getting Involved by Haley Powers

MPISCC has been a lifeline for deep friendships, good job referrals and mutual business. Let’s face it, this year has been a year of disconnecting—it is great to reconnect! I’m tired of being asked “How are you pivoting?” I’m just staying in touch with friends, business contacts and family. These are the actions that are the glue to our professional and personal lives.

I have also been teaching at SCUDH, CSULB and Cal Lutheran. I like seeing the excitement of people receiving training as meeting professionals and event planners, knowing our business will be back and booming!

Several of the chapter activities are free, like member chats, where we do the same thing—say hello, see how we are all doing and share ideas. If you have drifted away, regardless of the reason, come back; after all, we are part of an expanding and dynamic field. There is room for everyone!
