Go Team Events helped host the breakout rooms with a game facilitator for each team. During each game, teams entered breakout rooms to try to get as many right answers as possible within the allotted time. Points were given in exchange for each correct answer. The facilitators used virtual backgrounds to display questions and clues for each game, which created a much more engaging atmosphere than simply having the questions announced.

We started off playing “Name That Tune,” where we guessed song names and artists based off of short audio clips. We then moved on to my personal favorite, where we guessed movie titles from posters that had the text removed. Next was “Choice Is Yours,” which was a multiple choice trivia game. Finally, we closed the competition with “Family Feud” (or as Go Teams Events calls it, “Friendly Feud”), where we had to guess the most popular answers to questions about current events.

The games themselves would have been so fun on their own, but adding the fundraiser component took things to the next level. Points were awarded, not only for correct answers, but also for donating to the cause. Teams donated by entering the team name and donation amount into the Zoom chat. Between games we saw a new donations leaderboard. The competition got fierce, which was great for the fundraiser. Donations were flying in the chat!

While I didn’t win a raffle prize, and my team came in fifth place, I left the event buzzing with new connections  – and new trivia knowledge! – feeling closer to my chapter and proud of the funds we were able to raise for such a great cause.
