Meet Our Volunteers

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Barnes as the new MPIGNY Golf Committee Chair! Andrew is an account director at the St. Regis New York and is very excited to take on this highly important role for the chapter. Andrew and the rest of the MPIGNY Golf Committee are well on their way in planning yet another memorable event in 2017. Stay tuned for more updates including a Save The Date for next year's event!

Until then, get to know Andrew:

What made you want to volunteer with the Golf Committee?

I wanted to get more involved with MPI in general. I saw this as a great opportunity to do so. After attending the event this year I felt that it was a perfect fit for me to get my foot in the door and see how I could use my skills and experience to assist in making the 2017 event even more successful.

Why is MPIGNY important to you?

I see MPIGNY as a great networking organization. Meeting people and making new relationships that will help me now and in the future achieve success, is huge!

What are you excited about for the 2017 Golf Outing?

I was already excited to just take part in the 2017 outing. As Golf Chair, I am excited to be part of the team that will be putting on the event. I look forward to being able to have some input into the planning and also to be in it from the beginning to the end and to see how everything came together at the finish.

Any other comments on why you are excited to be involved with MPIGNY?

I think that being a member of MPI is great for individual development. Being a part of a group of professionals in the same field whether it be on the supplier or vendor side is invaluable, as we all get to share ideas from both sides. MPI facilitates this idea sharing and networking by hosting events such as the After 6 Mixes and Annual Golf Outing. I have been a member of MPI for almost eight years and have met so many people along the way from attending MPI events. I look forward to continuing to do so.
