The Past 30...

Our growing and dedicated board met at the Garden City Hotel on Thursday and Friday to plan for the chapter's upcoming year. In addition to the continued strong educational events and fun networking events, the board has quite a few exciting surprises in store for the chapter this year. We'll give you a sneak peek at this year's Genie Awards, so we hope to see you there!

What a night at the beach! More than 70 members joined us at our 3rd Annual Summer Kick-Off at the Allegria Hotel & Spa Long Beach, NY, on May 28. While watching the waves roll in on the beach and the sun set over the NYC skyline, our guests enjoyed delicious steak, seafood and tasty specialty drinks, including signature mojitos. We are so grateful to have host venues like the Allegria that pull out all the stops to showcase their property and talents. Special thanks also go to Coachman Limo for their shuttle from the LIRR and CC Photo & Media. Also, on a very exciting note, the nominees for the 2015 Genie awards were announced and many of our nominees were in attendance! Be sure to register for the Genies on June 15 at BB Kings Blues Club!

Thanks to our generous sponsors, Allegria Hotel, Coachman Limo and CC Photo and Media

Working from home can sometimes be akin to being marooned on a desert island. There are many benefits of working frm a home office: flexibility, no commute and the ability to take a meting in sweats. However, the drawbacks include unhealthy eating, lack of physical activity and – the biggest challenge of all – the inability to stop working even when your work day should be done. (@MPIGNY)
